C3PO red eyes, love it. next we find out he is the next Sith Lord. The title says it all. The final battle was really appealing and the ending was something that could be a good conclusion to the saga. However, the poor and super fast pacing destroys any character development efforts in the script. If the movie was an hour longer, this would have been less noticable.

This was an excellent conclusion to the Skywalker saga. It fixed many issues from the last jedi, such as clarifying who rey's parents were, and how rey was so skilled (she trained hard, it turns out. Which should have been what everyone thought to begin with. I don't have much to add that you can't find from other positive reviews on here, so instead I'll respond to a few of the more insane ones:

Um, I guess if all you were doing was tallying up what race/gender every character was, you probably didn't enjoy it. Since, you know, you weren't paying attention to the story. I have no idea how accurate his count is, because I was busy actually following the characters and the story, but since it doesn't really matter to anyone but angry racists /misogynists, it's pointless to speculate.
"Pulled Palpatine out of thin air after he died"
Um, he was tossed into a shaft. Sith and jedi have easily survived worse. And what other force user had the power to do the things snoke supposedly did? Many people speculated that snoke *was* Palpatine for that reason.
"rey has abilities no one else has ever had! Cheap"
Numerous jedi were capable of force healing. Using the force to sheath a lightsaber or halting the beam was something Palpatine had done before.
"Rey shouldn't be as good as kylo, he studied longer"
Rey has been wielding melee weapons for at least as long as kylo, and was already quite physically fit and fully grown. That drastically reduces the training time needed compared to a little youngling who'd never fought anyone before.
"ren was stronger than rey he should have beaten her easily"
Again with that casual sexism. I think we can all agree that a young human woman is naturally stronger than an arthritic old man, and being such didn't stop Palpatine or yoda from using the force to compensate for their physical infirmities.
People may have genuine greivences that lead them to give this movie a 7, 8, or 9, but any rating below that is almost guaranteed to be for some ridiculous reason.

Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019.
J. J. Abrams' The Rise of Skywalker" spends most of it's runtime either course-correcting the decisions taken in "The Last Jedi" or veering off to different planets to find the MacGuffin, without giving any of its characters any space to breathe. It also takes the safest route with each plot or character development. While its visuals are stunning, the film mostly feels like a calculated, robotic blockbuster. The big moments feel unearned, the side characters are given no time to develop, and the chaotic and plot-hole filled plot hangs by a thread.
The lack of a single unifying vision for the trilogy is painfully apparent. The film goes a million directions, and each decision made feels like it is borne of fear and not fun. By that, I mean that each decision taken feels like it was calculated by Disney to 'satisfy most fans' rather than to actually get creative with the plot, and deliver shocking moments.
Granted, the previous film's stubbornness to 'be different' leaves "Rise of Skywalker" with little to work with. The film completely tosses aside those little things in favour of introducing and developing completely new plots and characters without any hints from the previous two films. This makes "Rise of Skywalker" feel like multiple films stretched to one. The film itself is rather entertaining, but as a 'Part 3 of 3' in the trilogy, it feels overwhelming and hopelessly disconnected from the last two films.
